Darlene Hollis, known as ‘The Confidence & Personal Resuscitation (CPR) Life Coach, is a native of the Bahamas, a mother, a minister, Certified Master Life & Business Coach, and so much more. She is also the author of Divorced ‘Suddenly Single’ Mom’s Devotional 1 and 2,
and Rebranding ‘Notes to Self’ Journal. In 2018, she led 5 women in co-authoring the book, Rebranding My Life.
As a little girl, Darlene was an avid reader. As a first grader, she would pack her bookbag with books not related to her classes and lugged them to school each day. Her mother used to tell her, "You think you're going to university huh?" She had no idea what university was. While the other children would be outside playing, she would often get in trouble for tucking herself behind the bed to hide while reading until it was dark and someone found her. She was content getting lost in her book. When she ran out of her age-appropriate books to read, she snuck and read her older sisters' romance novels. She feels that her love of reading played a large part in her graduating high school at the age of 15.
All her years of schooling, through obtaining her Masters Degree, she also loved writing papers. And usually received an "A". However despite her choice of Science as her career field, God brought her right back to her first love; this time helping others to place their vision on paper for others to read and enjoy or find hope. As she resisted, more people called on her to help them publish their story.
Most of her clients call her their "Book Midwife" as she uses all of her qualifications and experiences, including being a Certified Master Personal Development & Business Coach, and her personal experience of overcoming various traumatic life experiences, to successfully help them birth their book baby. It is especially beneficial that she knows and has worked on every aspect of the publishing process; including graphic design and editing. This helps her to understand your vision and to relay that vision to her team.
Darlene is especially passionate about women breaking their silence and putting it in print in order to leave their stamp on this earth. She strives to ensure that every author preserves their voice as they write and publish their book.
